Hello, I’m Sophie. I’m an illustrator who loves strange characters, imaginative worlds and the details that make them feel real.

My advantage: a recognizable style for both characters and architecture, and a fast, steady workflow.

ANTIHYPE

Illustration series · Portrait

post

Challenge: Give each musician a clear character, and make 4 faces look like one band.Idea: One strict palette of red, black and white, rough sketchy lines, and a different swirling background for each person.Result: 4 portraits, one visual language. What it shows: I can give real people a strong, recognizable look.

BRIT-POP

Illustration series · Portrait

Challenge: Make famous faces recognizable and keep the set consistent.Idea: A red, white and blue palette, flat shapes, and geometric stripes in the background. Calm and graphic, unlike the Antihype series.Result: 4 portraits in one clean style. What it shows: I can adapt my portrait style to a different mood and era.

Bug alphabet

Illustration series · Product design

post

Challenge: Fit each letter into the picture, so it becomes part of the scene rather than a label on it. Idea: Every letter turns into something from the bugs’ world: a building, a lily of the valley. The bugs are tiny and the letters are huge, so every scene feels like a small story with its own mood. This one is quiet and rainy, with two bugs holding each other under a giant flower. Process: The finished illustrations were then adapted into industrial design, so the same world works on real products. Result: 6 illustrated letters, one original bug world, and product designs based on the artwork. What it shows: I can build a world, keep it consistent across a series and make it work on real products.

Every day is music day

Illustration series · Product design

post

Challenge: Put the beauty of music into a small format.Idea: The instruments are the heroes. Tiny people stand beside them, and flowers and waves of sound fill the space. A black background and green shades give the whole set one mood.Result: A set of 13 postcards in one palette. What it shows: I can make small things people want to send and keep.

Golden towns

Illustration series · Landscape · Architecture

post

Challenge: Keep every place easy to recognize, but draw it as simply and flatly as possible.Idea: Cut each landscape and building down to its main shapes: a tower, an arch, a roofline. Flat color, tiny figures, a few textures.Result: 13 simple, flat illustrations. Each place is still easy to recognize. What it shows: I can simplify architecture without losing its character.
