What does a project consist of?
The project is a series of works united by the aesthetic of Gothic architecture and the technique of high-pressure printing. It includes a lamp featuring a custom textile print and a series of graphic prints on paper executed in linocut. The theme of the project is the reinterpretation of Gothic ornamentation in contemporary art and product design.

Linocut serves as the primary medium for artistic expression. The contrast between black and white, the combination of lines and shapes, the repetition of elements, and the texture of the hand-printed image allow for the exploration of the plasticity of Gothic ornament. The limited color palette accentuates the image’s structure and establishes a cohesive visual language across the entire series.
In this project, historical motifs transition into contemporary artistic forms—graphic prints on paper and a light fixture featuring original textile prints. The variation in materials and formats allows us to examine a single visual language from multiple perspectives. Gothic ornamentation is transformed from merely an element of historical architecture into a standalone artistic motif, existing within modern object and graphic contexts.
Summary
The project explores the possibilities of reinterpreting Gothic aesthetics through original graphic art and object form. Architectural motifs, linocut techniques, and the use of various materials are unified in a series dedicated to the beauty of ornament and its relevance in contemporary art.
