Шерлок, море и фотографии…

Что интересного ждёт детей в Еврейском музее.

Autumn is a time for exciting adventures! Want to feel like a real detective, paint a stormy sea, or transform a regular photograph into a work of art? Then there is something for you to do at the Jewish Museum!

On September 20th, several events await you.

You can come to one or both—it will be interesting! The first one is «The Power of the Wind, ” where we will draw with air… Have you ever seen a sculpture that moves on its own? Not from a motor, but from the wind! In this workshop, you can learn with artist Tim Illarionov how nature can become a co-creator of art. At the workshop, we will make mobiles—these are hanging structures that sway with the slightest breeze. The famous artist Alexander Calder invented them. His works resemble leaves, petals, animals, and even planets! When the wind blows, they come to life.

The second one is «The Power of Natural Drawing»: let’s examine the wonders around us. Have you ever noticed the patterns hidden in tree bark or on leaves? Nature is the best artist! Here, you will need to grab a magnifying glass and carefully examine the fibers, cracks, and textures. It turns out that every material has its own character—it can be porous, dense, or flexible. Based on your research, you will create colorful frames that beautifully emphasize nature’s lines. You will end up with a true portrait of a tree or a leaf!

On September 29, we’re going to become real detectives!

«Sherlock’s Secret Knowledge: Learn to See What Is Hidden!» for those who love puzzles! Have you ever dreamed of noticing things that everyone else overlooks? Sherlock Holmes could unravel an entire story from a single small detail. In this session, you can significantly sharpen your observational skills: you will search for clues, decipher what a person is feeling through their facial expressions and gestures, and solve logic problems. Can you understand your friend’s mood even when they are silent? We’ll find out!

October and «Contour»

In October, several events will take place at the «Kontur» art space. Here, you can explore the major eras and directions of European art—from the Renaissance to the avant-garde. We will paint music, assemble pictures from geometric shapes, invent fictional animals, search for colors of mood, and create our own artistic language. On October 5th, the «Landscape, Landscape» class will be held! This class is for lovers of the sea and adventure. The artist J.M.W. Turner adored painting storms, ships, and raging waves. His paintings feel alive! In the studio, you will try to create your own seascape in watercolor and send a ship on a journey across the paper.

On October 12, we invite you to attend «The Real World and New Techniques.» You will meet artist Édouard Manet, who loved to experiment with light and color. Afterward, you will paint a sunset sky—using quick, light brushstrokes, just like a true master. And of course, we have contemporary artists: On October 19, «New Art» will take place, where we will meet Andy Warhol and his photography! First, you will take your own photos, and then you will transform them into vibrant graphic pieces using markers. It will be real pop art!

Remember, autumn is not a time for boredom or sadness! That’s why it’s a great idea to visit the Jewish Museum to lift their spirits and create wonderful art!
