From Concept to Art Object

My project is in New York, Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier.
This is an ideal location for an architectural pavilion inspired by avant-garde painting: it combines modern urban space, open views of the water, and a panorama of Manhattan. Your object, featuring a geometric roof, vibrant colored planes, and seating areas, can function as both an artistic installation and a public relaxation zone. It will look particularly beautiful at sunset, when the warm sunlight accentuates the colorful surfaces.

At the core of my project lies the concept of transforming geometric forms into a functional art object that merges art, architecture, and public space. The primary expressive element of the composition is an elongated, slanted roof, which evokes a sense of movement and direction. This roof is supported by asymmetrical geometric supports, forming a dynamic silhouette for the structure. The color scheme is built on a combination of rich blue, yellow, orange, and red hues. The contrasting planes of color emphasize the object’s geometry and intensify the feeling of motion.
The main idea of the project is to transform an abstract geometric composition into a space with which humans can interact.
