01 / context & challengeKarandash Fest is a festival inspired by the legacy of the famous Soviet clown Karandash. The challenge was to create a poster series that captures the festival’s playful spirit and encourages adults to rediscover their sense of wonder and imagination.02 / conceptThe concept draws inspiration from Karandash’s early career as a poster artist. The composition resembles an artist’s workspace, where fragments of paper, graphic elements, and colour come together to form a poster. Playful collage shapes reference both childhood creativity and the visual language of Soviet circus posters.

Every year, it becomes a temporary utopian community built around freedom, creativity, collective spirit, and a connection with nature. The challenge was to capture this unique phenomenon through editorial design.02 / conceptThe project explores the festival’s dual nature: the world preserved in posters and programmes, and the intangible world of guitar music, shared memories, and fleeting moments. The book brings these two realities together, presenting the festival as both a documented event and a lived experience.
