The longer stride

«Man in his best version» «Have you ever wondered which of the best versions of life man has ever lived?», In a mini interview I asked a couple of people and most of them responded that the best ever version of life for man is happiness, but then came up a question which confused many of us, «how can man express happiness, as I was wondering how happiness can be expressed by man, Infront of the camera my friend asked whether i am happy and I responded yes. „If yes then show us some happiness“, and ofcourse a series of self portraits were attained.

A testimony of trust The photograph isn’t a makeshift barber shop, it’s not a wash room either, nor a laundry room, not even a friend giving a hand, but rather a definition of trust. When you earn trust from people, they will not mind about how, when and where to find you. They will crave for your service no matter how distant and hard to reach you may be. A beautiful comfortable place buys human attention but a great service secures trust which always breeds comfort regardless of the location. The photograph features two models a barber and his client who has given in all his trust to the barber without bothering about the absence of the mirror but just entrusting the barber in a very calm and comfortable way.

Unavoidable blemishes, bruises and fractures, not just the physical ones, but also mental and emotional, give a challenging task of either normalising them and live strong with them or fixing them. Normalising them can be a short term solution but for a permanent cure you need to fix it your self. Relying on other people with hope that they will fix you is an unachievable goal, the reality is that most don’t wish you bad but don not wish to engage either, others thank God it wasn’t them and others will learn from you but none will extend a hand to fix you, but instead you will have to fix it yourself.

The pretender

This photograph is inspired by the current norm of people doing everything with a contradictory attitude towards only attaining a benefit, students do not read to understand but only read to pass exams and attain a good mark, workers only be active in the presence of the supervisor, teachers only teach to finish the syllabus, builders elongate period needed to finish the buildings because the longer the period the more money earned, Passion has been buried and a re-birth of greed has occurred over and over again. In this surreal photograph a model reading the book is blindfolded but with magnifying spectacles, portraying a fact that nothing goes beyond the lens, for pretenders look but can’t see, feel but never perceive!

Mercedes-Benz introduced the W123 four-door executive car in January, 1976 to replace the W115. The overall dimensions and wheelbase were lengthened, and styling was updated to a less angular more contemporary look. When the old remains contemporary, it means the creator had a passion of generational life of the creation, this Benz became an inspiration in this work because of the glowing body and a lasting design. The luxurious contemporary look despite of its classical design and its harmony with other cars and a contemporary environment.

An objective arrangement and harmony created by embedding the natural plant life onto a bicycle. The original colour and random movement of the plants with its branches and leaves running in different directions which gives it a natural movement and continuity. The photograph bridges a unique aspect of natural movement on artificial objects for they are static but given life by the natural motion seen in the plants as they grow.

The human clan

Beyond the visual portrayal of man, is a unique concept of human nature that connects a network of people with a traceable relationship between one another, the proximity always gives an answer to questions of who we are! Man as the wisest creature on earth travels from the place of origin and birth but where he goes he finds a new family connected by the human clan. Sheltered under the sun. And then rises the beauty of proximity that creates love, a natural love and value for brothers from the same species.

The longer stride While at work machines simplify our work but the relationship between them and the worker is that, time comes and they understand each other. Man connects with the machine and may even understand how it functions and so incase of any external or internal change or breakdown they may easily understand the malfunctioning of the machine. The photograph features a model riding a hand pallet truck, like a scooter but with a normal expression showing it’s his normal routine where he tamed it not only to offload trucks but also to speed up his work as he enjoys a unique ride. Portraying the relationship between man and machines with a longer stride beyond their primary function.
