MEDIA: INTERIOR DESIGN BLOG

An editorial media platform focused on interior design, where beautiful spaces are deconstructed into specific design techniques, materials, color palettes, compositions, and layout solutions. It also showcases designers' projects and broadcasts the creative process behind them.

The blog is written in the first person: as a practicing interior designer, I create the content independently and share my professional experience. The main idea of the blog is to explain how specific design choices make interiors harmonious, functional, and appealing.

The channel will feature several recurring segments that explore different aspects of design. My blog combines visual inspiration with professional analysis: readers will gain a deeper understanding of the logic behind design decisions, learn to notice details, and apply appealing techniques to their own interiors. In this way, the channel will serve as a platform for developing aesthetic literacy, acquiring knowledge, and becoming acquainted with my approach to working as an interior designer.

Data Sources:

Various sources will be used to create content: interior and architectural media, social networks, design studio websites, visual reference platforms, as well as the author’s own projects and professional experience.Sources will be selected depending on the theme of each specific column. This will allow for a combination of timely industry information, visual inspiration, and expert commentary from the author.

// 1 Visual Platforms and Sources of Inspiration

Pinterest — the primary source of visual references for our «Deconstructing Pinterest» and «Visual Exposure» features. Here you will find: interior design solutions, color palettes, examples of working with materials, furniture, lighting, and decor. The platform also helps track visual trends and curate thematic collections.Behance — a source for original design projects, conceptual interiors, visualizations, and unconventional solutions. It is particularly useful for discovering unique ideas and studying contemporary approaches to space design.Instagram and other social media channels of designers and studios — sources for current projects, professional insights, interior discoveries, and examples of realized design ideas.

// 2 Professional Interior and Architectural Media

Design Mate — industry news, interviews with designers and architects, project reviews, trends, and interesting features.AD (Architectural Digest) — realized interiors, home stories, design solutions, and reviews of furniture and decor items.Dezeen — architecture, interior design, product design, innovative materials, and contemporary projects from around the world.* These sources will be used to prepare analytical publications, find interesting examples, and study current trends in design.

// 3 Design Studio and Manufacturer Websites

Websites of professional studios, architects, furniture brands, and finishing material manufacturers can help you discover completed projects and study the specifics of layouts, materials, and object design. For instance, you can refer to the portfolios of Geometrium, Krasnov and other studios to analyze specific interior solutions.

Websites of furniture, lighting, and finishing material manufacturers will be useful for the «Design in Detail» section: they provide information on material specifications, new collections, constructions, and object features.

// 4 Original Materials and Professional Experience

My own projects and workflows will be one of the main content sources. This includes object photography, visualizations, spatial designs, blueprints, material selections, collages, working notes, and observations.Personal professional insights generated during the work process—including interactions with clients, site visits, and trips to stores and showrooms—will also be a source of publications. These materials will allow for the creation of original content that avoids replicating other interior media publications.

// 5 Studio and Feedback

Followers' questions, comments, reactions, and suggestions can also serve as a source of material. Based on this input, we can determine which topics generate the most interest, what housing challenges people most frequently face, and which questions require specialized expert analysis.

For instance, subscribers can submit photos of their own interiors or reference images for analysis, propose topics for new posts, and participate in polls.

Thus, the data sources will combine three main streams: visual inspiration, professional information, and personal experience. This will allow for the creation of substantive, original publications that offer practical value to readers.
