About meHi, I’m Maria — a digital designer for media productsI’m a fourth-year student of the UX/UI and front-end programme at HSE Art and Design School in Nizhny Novgorod. I design websites and services for media and cultural projects: products with a lot of content that needs a clear structure and a strong idea.Skills User research, information architecture, UI and design systems, prototyping, identity, motionTools Figma, HTML and CSS, Tilda, After Effects, AI tools for videoOpen to Internships, freelance and team projects
Why meThree reasons to bring me into your media teamResearch comes firstInterviews, surveys and competitor reviews come before any moodboard. In Morpheus, a survey of 44 people shaped the core features of the service. One idea holds the productA navigator for a travel media, dream gradients for a sleep service, a node graph for VFX. One clear concept makes every next decision easier for the team and for users.I take it all the way to a buildI study front-end, build design systems and hand off to developers. Morpheus went from a survey to a launched, tested prototype in six months.

ChallengeSleep advice is everywhere. Trustworthy advice is hard to findPeople sacrifice sleep for work and study. Information on how to fix it is scattered, contradictory or too complex to follow.Users lacked personal recommendations, a way to spot sleep problems and clear navigation through the content.
Research
44 people answered. Most of them don’t sleep well
An online survey with an average completion time of eight minutes. Its results shaped the core features: a sleep test, personal recommendations and thematic navigation.
ConceptDreams as colour gradientsCalm or vivid, every gradient stands for a different kind of sleep. Soft 3D characters — a sheep, a ghost, an elephant — are the creatures you might meet in a dream. They make a medical topic feel warm instead of clinical.
Solution · website
Content you can navigate, not scroll through
Thematic sorting, 100+ articles, 60+ expert video interviews and comments. Every page leads to the next useful step.
Solution · sleep test
A test that turns «I sleep badly» into a plan
Short questions about sleep habits lead to personal recommendations and a selection of articles and videos for your case.
Solution · mobile and design systemOne system for web and mobile, ready for handoffThe mobile version keeps articles, video and the test in one thumb-friendly flow. An atomic design system — atoms, molecules, organisms — was shared with the developer.
Result
A working prototype, launched and tested in six months
100+ articles and 60+ expert video interviews, a sleep test, thematic sorting, comments and sharing, on the web and on mobile. The brand continues offline in posters and a 404 page with the same characters.
02 · Svoim Khodom · travel media · 2026A media for people who travel on their own wheelsSvoim Khodom («Under your own steam») is a media about self-supported trips by bike and motorbike: routes, stories of people on the road and practical guides. My role Solo project: concept, editorial structure, identity, UX/UIPlatforms Website and mobile version
Challenge and audienceRoutes and stories are scattered across blogs and chatsMore people travel without tours or groups. Their routes, mistakes and tips live in blogs, chats and maps, and it is hard to tell which advice still works.Weekend cyclists25–40, live in the city, want to ride a hundred kilometres and camp by a riverMotorcycle travellersRide further and longer, look for dirt roads, ferries and honest road reportsThose about to startAfraid to begin, need a clear first route and a packing list
Concept and identity
The language of a navigator
The reader travels alone, guided only by the map on their phone. So the media speaks like a navigator: a track with real turns instead of a decorative wave, a hollow ring for the start, the only bright colour for the finish, and short hint plates instead of handwritten notes.
Solution · route pagesA route you can repeat, day by dayEvery route has a map with waypoints, real numbers — kilometres, days, surface, the date it was checked — and a day-by-day plan with stops and things to keep in mind.
