Hi! I’m Alesya Abazova, an animation director and ethnic artist
My work is inspired by Circassian culture, mythology, and personal experiences. I create culturally inspired and independent animated films, illustrations, and art objects, experimenting with different techniques and materials.I’m also the creator of the board game Sosruko and the Millet Seeds, a finalist of the nationwide Native Toy competition, and a recipient of the Pride of Kabardino-Balkaria award in the Nugget of Elbrus category for my contribution to culture.WHAT I DO?
My main focus is animation. Through my work, I aim to reveal the beauty of culture and the human soul, expressing emotions and stories through visual imagery.This approach runs through everything I create: independent and commercial animated films, illustrations, porcelain pieces, jewelry, and other handmade objects.I put a part of myself into every project, seeking its unique atmosphere and emotional depth, whether I’m bringing my own idea to life or telling a client’s story.
