My name is Anastasia, and since 2022, I’ve been creating stylized 2D art for games and animation.
My background in game design helps me see art as part of a larger project. Through silhouettes, color, and detail, I aim to convey the characters’ personalities, the mood, and the world’s story — so the image speaks for itself.
What can I help with?
— Characters: people, animals, and anthropomorphic creatures
— Environments
— Visual development and key visuals
— Assets
— UI elements
— Art guides and Art direction
— Animation: characters, environments, and gameplay prototypes
— Illustrations for brands and private clients
To get started, all you need is an idea and a topic, not a lengthy brief. Tell me what story you want to tell and what kind of impression you want to make, and I’ll help you find the right visual direction.

01. Case: Art and art direction for the computer game Wako
Brief
I joined a team that was already developing a game but struggling to achieve visual consistency. We needed to rethink the art direction, overhaul the graphics, and establish shared guidelines for the team. The main character, Wako the macaque, is searching for the captain aboard a sinking pirate ship. I wanted the visuals to help players empathize with him and feel the danger of the world around himIdea
Draw on the aesthetics of paper art and shadow theater: layered forms, silhouettes, fragility, and a reliance on light.
Contrast Wako — warm, three-dimensional, and almost puppet-like — with the cold, flat, crumbling environment. The ship remains his home, yet becomes alien and dangerous. This contrast was intended to underscore the hero’s vulnerability and deepen the emotional connection with him.
Solution
I redesigned the main character and developed an art guide that translated the artistic vision into concrete rules for creating visuals. The guide defined how to handle silhouettes, detail, and depth: the foreground frames the scene, the midground contains the main interactions and contrasts, and the background sets the mood and reveals the story. Horizontal lines guide movement, while vertical lines help define space.Using this guide, my team and I completely revamped the game’s visuals. I set the art direction, created artwork, and helped other team members maintain a cohesive style. I also designed merchandise for the project.Main character concept art: after by me and before

Result
The game received a complete visual overhaul, blending a paper-inspired aesthetic with the principles of shadow theater. The team now has an art guide to inform future work, and the project’s visual language has been carried over into its merchandise. The project received positive feedback.Enemies, Moray Eel and Tentacles. I drew them and made animations: idle, attack, movement, sleep.
I also created merch: two postcards and a sticker pack.
Art and visualization
I also came up with and drew the character Marie, a dancer who helps Wako escape.

I have drawn more than 100 game assets.
Assets
I created art for visual development.
02. Case: Illustrations for the city of Luchegorsk
Brief
Create two illustrations for the design of the external and internal surfaces of a bus stop in Luchegorsk as part of a competition by «SMENKA».
Idea!
To showcase the natural side of Luchegorsk through the local fauna. To combine the two states of the taiga in one stop: day outside, night inside.
Solution
I designed two related compositions. Inside the shelter, the inhabitants of the nocturnal taiga are depicted: a long-eared owl, a flying squirrel, a lynx, and rodents. Outside, a daytime scene with a red deer, a yellow-throated marten, and a bird. For the project, I suggested combining painting with stencil elements and mosaic inserts. The animal eyes, berries, and some plants could be highlighted with luminescent paint so that the composition unfolds even after dark.Result: Day and Night, and sketch

03. Case: Illustrations for the Discovering a Taste for Creativity competition
Brief
Create illustrations for the Pomidorka brand around the theme «A Taste for Creativity.» Convey the joy of cooking, inspiration, and the freedom to experiment using the brand’s signature colors.Idea
Show that inspiration can be found in the most familiar things when we stay curious and open to new ideas. Even a beginner can surprise an expert with an unexpected perspective: pasta looks like yarn—so why not knit a scarf with it?Solution
I built the story around the visual similarity between pasta and yarn, bringing cooking and knitting together. A familiar product becomes the material for an unexpected creative experiment. Through this scenario, I explore the idea that experience doesn’t prevent us from learning from beginners, and that a fresh perspective can lead to new ideas.
